Absolutely beautiful vintage Mexican Artisan Alpaca Silver large heart pendant on a black cord necklace with a hook-and-eye clasp. It is hand carved with intricate Native American designs.
Alpaca silver is a combination of durable metals formed to create a faux silver metal, making it much more affordable than Sterling Silver. This metal is also known as "German Silver" or "nickel silver" and is made up of nickel, copper, tin and zinc. Due to the copper content (60%), the metal may develop a tint, known as patina. This patina can be easily cleaned or some people prefer to let the patina show to add character to the piece.
The Pendant is quite large measuring approximately 3.75 inches in width and 2.8 inches in length.
