    Description

    This is a beautiful signed Mexican sterling silver turquoise and pottery sherd elk pendant. This pendant features a great piece of bezel-set turquoise on one side and a bezel-set sherd of Mata Ortiz pottery on the opposite side with a cast silver elk head in the middle. The back of the silver on the pottery sherd is marked "950" for sterling and is signed but I am unable to identify the artist. The back of the cast elk is marked "925" for sterling. The pendant measures 2 1/2 inches long with the bale (2 1/8 inches long without the bale) by 1 5/8 inches wide. The bale diameter measures 1/4 inch by 3/8 inch. The pendant weighs .8 ounces or 22.7 grams. Add this wonderful pendant to your collection!
