    Pre-1979 vintage TAXCO 925 sterling and malachite necklace. I have owned this since 1980.
    It is 17 inches long. Total weight of piece is 1.65 oz.

    and what I think is:
    92976
    Circa 1979 in Mexico a new letter/number mark system was introduced. This marking on this necklace does not follow that order so by this we know it was made pre-1979.
