Mexican Gaspeite Heart Pendant by IG .925 Sterling Rope Chain is 18"

Description

Gaspeite is a rare nickel carbonate mineral
and a member of the calcite
mineral group. It was first discovered on the Gaspe Peninsula of Quebec, Canada,
from which it received its name.
The first clue to identifying gaspeite is its yellowish green to bright green color.
Bright green gaspeite adds a new and striking splash of green color to Southwestern style jewelry. In the past decade its appearance in  jewelry has become more frequent.
Gaspeite pendant has been hallmarked "IG" and ".925" which indicates it's Mexican made (Native American jewelry is hallmarked "sterling").  The bail has a clip component that opens to accept the chain, see photo #4.  I've included an 18" sterling rope chain necklace so you can wear the pendant immediately.  I have hand polished the pendant with a soft sterling polishing cloth.  Sterling can become dark and be polished back to a beautiful shine time after time.
Pendant measures 1" tall including the bail  by  7/16" wide
