DESCRIPTION:
This cross is replicated the same way that people place Milagros on wood or a saint or anything else that is strong enough where nails can be used.. But only with these Milagros, they are nailed onto this sterling cross..What I love about this, is how when you move the Milagros,there is ‘inscriptions’ underneath & all along the back! (see photos) It has an incredible design!
This is a large size-hefty weighted pendant,that is made with a generous amount of thick gauge sterling & has all that vintage style appeal as if it was unearthed from years ago from deep in the earth of historical Oaxaca.The cross is anchored from the “Sacred Heart of Mary” & has 3 varied Sacred Heart’s following it’s horizontal length. The sides of the cross are made with nailed gloved hands & are the anchor for the “Virgen de Juquila charms.” These dangles give the cross somewhat of a "Yalalag Cross' which is known to Oaxaca.. Hands have much meaning,especially when you see them in Milagros..Some meanings are: Strength,friendship,healing..
It has a shepherds hook to hang onto your favorite sterling bead necklace or can accommodate a wide variety of necklaces to hook onto.The hook can open up more (With ease) to fit between a larger size bead.This is a heavy pendant that is really solid,so you don’t want to hang this onto something that doesn’t have good strength.
If I can offer some advise,because of it's large size,I would recommend dropping it away from the neckline with a long strand of oxidized sterling Navajo Pearls (that go hand in hand with the oxidized finish of the cross) .An 18” necklace won’t show off as much as something say,with a 24” or longer. length. I carry a wide variety of oxidized sterling bead necklaces if you need something!
This has all the charm of Oaxaca!
